Topic
Although ‘Failure’ is not a comfortable subject, there is so much to be learned by those who will embrace the lessons available from what is an inevitable part of our life journey. In fact, a quote from Thomas Watson Sr, claims that “If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.”
Through failure we come face to face with who we are and what we are capable of achieving. It is an opportunity to learn and changes our perspective on the world, allows us to grow and take responsibility for our lives and our circle of influence.
Failure, along with other life-changing events such as severe illness, natural disasters and personal attacks, are the scary defining moments in our lives that we get to take as opportunities to choose where we will go from that point on; to be victims or victors. The choice to shrink back in fear is always there, as is the fighting will to thrive, survive and emerge with a new life that is artfully created in the style we now define having learnt from the lessons of our own failure, regardless what that failure was.
